Our story
Keeping Melbourne drivers on the road
Nexgen Cars started in Melbourne's northern suburbs with a simple idea: renting a car by the week should be affordable and straightforward. Today we run a fleet of around 40 cars and rent to drivers all over Melbourne.
Our customers are people between cars, new arrivals getting settled, delivery drivers and rideshare drivers. Many stay with us for months, because a weekly rental with no long contract suits how they live and work.
We keep our cars small, automatic and economical on purpose. Lower fuel and running costs matter when you are driving every day. Every car is registered and serviced before it goes out, and we keep adding newer models as the fleet grows.
Renting with us is simple. Choose a car online, send us your licence, pay a refundable bond that is usually two weeks of rent, and collect the car. If something comes up during your rental, you call us and speak to a person who knows your booking.
